Serve - Bed Start

Bed Start succeeds based on those passionate about serving their community. We call ourselves Bedheads, due to the excitement we have found in an ability to lift people up in their time of need. That excitement ignites the passion to serve regularly and often, since every invitation into a home is a new experience. Providing at no cost to our neighbors in their time of need, only functions effectively with support of hundreds of people serving per month.

You do not need to be able to lift heavy furniture or drive a vehicle, just an investment of time, energy, and heart. Bed Start enjoys a diversity of ages, genders, and backgrounds in its Bedheads, demonstrating to those we meet a community all focused on loving thy neighbor and sharing our abundant resources.

We do require that those who serve in a Leadership Position pass our background screening, but all other skills and knowledge are taught in our onsite training program. Orientation occurs the first day of service. Just show up.
