Home Starter Kits
Small or large groups can bless a family moving into an apartment or small house by providing all, or supplementing larger furniture deliveries to turn a dwelling into a home. This Kit is extremely critical in the support of families coming out of a shelter or group home environment and Veterans coming back from service.
In Bed By Christmas Eve
Each December, Bed Start has matching funds that double a donation $1 for $1 to purchase beds. In November we seek larger donations to establish the base, then promote giving to match.
Children’s Programs
During Vacation Bible Schools, Vacation Bible Camps, Mission Possible Kids events and similar children’s related outreach sessions, Bed Start actively engages children in providing furnishings and accessories to purchase beds.
Youth Programs
Year around, Bed Start provides weekly opportunities for service hours in support of such groups as National Honors Societies, Young Men’s Service League, and church youth groups. After their service commitments, many continue to serve because of their ability to change the world.
Small Group Service
Bed Start provides monthly and non-periodic service days throughout the year, including church life groups and mission teams focused on such social issues as poverty, homelessness, and single parent advocating.
Conferences & Rally’s
Throughout the year, Bed Start provides the opportunity at scheduled civic, religious, and community functions to draw in interest in support of our community.
