Honor A Loved One
Do you have someone or a group you would like to honor? Create a named fund and continue their legacy. You can set up a one year fund, or a multi-year fund. Contact us to find out about your options for a named fund. You can give an Honor Donation for almost any occasion, like:
- Funerals
- Weddings
- Graduations
- Birthdays
- Anniversaries
- Valentine’s Day
- Christmas
- Mother’s Day
- Father’s Day
- Get Well Soon
- Stocks and Bonds
A charitable gift of stocks or bonds provides an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others. A gift to Bed Start of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciation.
In addition to benefiting a neighbor in need, you may diversify away from low-basis, long-term holdings into other assets that will better suit your current needs.
